hyaluronic acid
Explore its role in skin and joints, and the research behind our liquid formulations.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that binds and holds water, helping tissues stay hydrated. In the skin, it contributes to moisture and suppleness. In joints, it forms part of synovial fluid, which lubricates the joint surfaces so they can move smoothly. It is also found in the eyes and other connective tissues.
As we age, its amount and distribution can change, contributing to reduced moisture retention in the skin and changes in joint lubrication.

Our approach to hyaluronic acid:
Bio-fermented and plant-based hyaluronic acid, a medium molecular weight and a liquid format that fits easily into your routine.

Our interest in hyaluronic acid goes beyond its natural role in the body. Fulcrum Health commissioned an eight-week study of a liquid hyaluronic acid and vitamin C formulation, exploring changes in skin appearance, firmness and elasticity.
A separate 30-day pilot study explored joint comfort and everyday movement.
Together, these studies gathered participants’ experiences across two areas central to our formulations: skin and joints. Explore the findings below.
skin appearance
In an eight-week study of PureHA hyaluronic acid with vitamin C, overseen by a UK consultant dermatologist, 70% of participants reported an improvement in their skin’s appearance.

joint comfort and movement
In a 30-day NoviSyn pilot study, 11 participants took one sachet per day. Some reported improvements in joint comfort, mobility and their ability to carry out everyday activities.
firmness and elasticity
In the same study, involving participants aged 40 to 75, 80% felt their skin appeared firmer and more elastic.
doctors’ assessments
Doctors rated the results as good or excellent for 10 of the 11 participants in the NoviSyn pilot study, based on patient feedback.
NOTE: These findings relate to the formulations studied and reflect participant feedback and, where stated, doctors’ assessments. Individual results may vary. The studies tested hyaluronic acid with vitamin C.
